2. Transparent Tribe Hackers Distribute CapraRAT via Trojanized Messaging Apps

In a recent attack campaign, A suspected Pakistan-aligned advanced persistent threat (APT) group known as Transparent Tribe hacking group distributed the Android CapraRAT(remote access trojans) backdoor via trojanized secure messaging and calling apps branded as MeetsApp and MeetUp. The group targeted individuals in the Middle East and Central Asia.

3. Microsoft discovers Shein app accessing clipboard on Android devices

Microsoft found that the Shein shopping app for Android was accessing users’ clipboard data without consent. App has been updated to remove the feature. Shein stated no intention of using it again. This incident emphasizes the need to ensure user data privacy and transparency in data collection.
