Cloudbric provides DDoS security service combined with edge computing

Cloud security startup, Cloudbric announced that it will provide a service that combines edge computing technology with
its cloud web firewall to more effectively defend against DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks.

DDoS attacks that exploit network protocols is on the rise due to the spread of the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G. Recently,
the number of DDoS attacks, as well as the size of the attacks, has been significantly rising compared to before, such as
attacks reaching 809 million packets per second targeting large European banks. As the situation worsened, the Korea
Financial Security Agency announced a plan to fully operate a cloud-linked security system to respond to DDoS.

Accordingly, Cloudbric provides a service that combines the existing CDN (Content Delivery Network) response system with
edge computing technology based on 28 regions in 18 countries around the world. The overall web security performance
has been upgraded, such as responding at a speed 10 times faster than before and defending against attacks of up to 65
Tbps. It protects not only general attacks, but also multivector attacks, which increase by 20% every year, and application
attacks such as Slowloris and RUDY. As it is a cloud service, it is easy to use and you can easily prevent web server damage
with just a few clicks.

“Cloudbric collects and analyzes intelligence about DDoS attacks that occur between edges around the world in real-time.”
said Tae-Joon Jeong, CEO of Cloudbric. “The cloud web firewall service combined with edge computing is a fundamental
and practical solution that preemptively blocks not only DDoS attacks, but also web attacks and threats that are becoming
more sophisticated over time”
